The Archive announces with much sadness the death of Geoffrey de Coup-Crank, its Recordings Adviser, on March 5th 2003.  He had been closely involved with the then Karg-Elert Society since its foundation in 1987 and gave it his unstinting support and encouragement from then onwards. His extensive knowledge of recorded organ and piano music and particularly that of the Romantic period was of great assistance to the Archive and its members; his own work in connection with Priory Records was highly valued and he had many friends among those who recorded for this company, all of international standing, as were members of the Karg-Elert Gesellschaft. The funeral service took place at Kingston Crematorium on Thursday March 13th 2003.
Geoffrey de Coup-Crank with the Chairman of the Archive, Anthony Caldicott.
